This WW2 film, based on a novel by C. Virgil Gheorghiu, follows a family in a Romanian village. The title comes from a character in the first chapter, a Romanian priest who sees war looming. He predicts that the world has already passed the point of no return, and that there will be no new day, because the "25th hour" is upon them.
