A nightclub singer narrowly escapes death after being shot. Marian (Maureen O'Hara), who'd coached the singer into the big time, confesses to the shooting, but neither her friend nor the cops completely buy her story.
Director Nicholas Ray and Gloria Grahame met while shooting this film. They were married in Las Vegas shortly after completion.
